- The Department of Convergence Mechanical Engineering actively conducts research on the intelligence of mechanical systems across all fields of mechanical engineering, including autonomous manufacturing, production system optimization, autonomous driving/flying, and prognostics and health management (PHM).
- The integration of data-driven approaches with traditional physics-based methods maximizes the efficiency of mechanical systems and makes significant contributions to the hyper-automation of mechanical systems.
- Beyond digital transformation, the department is at the forefront of AI transformation in mechanical systems, leading research in artificial intelligence applications within the mechanical engineering field.
